Holiday Party at Velouria!

The holiday season is here!
Velouria has been busy stocking the shelves with affordable handmade treasures.


We have our annual holiday trunk show for local jewelry designer Amy Bengtson this Saturday December 10, from 12-8pm. Amy is bringing in special pieces from her wood, stainless steel and sterling silver jewelry collections as well as some fun belt buckles, knit items and other gifts. As a special bonus Amy is offering 20% off her line at Velouria this month.





It is also artwalk in Ballard this Saturday evening. Stop down at 6pm for two local fine art shows featuring Maia LeDoux’s whimsical bear paintings and Danielle Troy-Stuart’s photography series.

We are totally loving the new arrivals from Haden Designs! Mixed metals and asymmetry...swoon! A nice selection of necklaces and earrings that make great gifts and are really affordable so you can pick one up for yourself too.

We are working hard filling up Velouria with great gifts for the holiday season ahead. Many new jewelry pieces, headbands, brooches, knits, and bath goodies are flooding in all handmade for you. This Saturday night from 6-9pm we are hosting a trunk/gift show with two local brands- R&L goods and Wooly Bison.






R&L goods make sweatshirts with cute sea life applique, silk screened notebook covers, wallets and cool scarves. Their newest wallet and notebook designs use recycled leather and rubber to make a durable and earth friendly product.





Wooly Bison will be bringing in her cute yet incredibly functional line of wool bags and wallets, as well as her newest waxed canvas backpacks. These backpacks are great for the Northwest climate as they are water resistant and can hold books, a laptop, and other goodies. Her bright wool ipod/iPhone covers wood be a great gift.



Stop by and see new art by local painter Alan Hurley. His new series is bright and bold blending animals with geometric backdrops.

This dress is universally flattering and easy to layer for these chilly days. I picture wearing mine this Thanksgiving sitting by a cozy fire. With it's fluid a-line shape it makes for easy eating with gentle gathering that hides a full belly, gotta love that!
