So many new arrivals, Spring is here!

Wow, I was out this weekend for my wedding, and I came in to a ton of new lovely Spring goodies. So many I can't possibly mention everything. But here are some stand outs.

First favorite is by Modaspia. This season's take on her classicc Fiji dress is a white background with navy diamonds. Love this dress. I can see walking through the farmers market in it with a large basket full of seasonal delights.

Next, this darling denim paper bag skirt by House of Spy. The vintage inspired button details really dress this up. With a simple tank it is dressy enough for a night out.

I simply have to mention this bold cobalt dress by Jennifer Glasgow. Her dresses are so sweet this season and her nautical color theme is perfect for the northwest. I love the pocket detail and white piping!

Ok, so I remember being totally obsessed with the movie Pretty in Pink in junior high. This new Mae dress totally reminds me of that movie. I love this 80's meets 40's style floral dress. Mod it up with a belt and some bakelite bangles, or wear it with some vintage heels to a wedding... To die for.

Again, so many new items to mention, but stop by for a little piece of Spring to brighten your week. See you soon,

Two events in one week!

Now that March is here there is a lot of talk about spring and summer weddings, so we have a couple of fun events planned for those dress up days to come. Thursday March 11th from 5-8pmfor the Capitol Hill artwalk, and again, Saturday March 13th 6-9pm for Ballard Artwalk we feature local designer Violet Magpie. Violet Magpie hair ornaments are handmade designs incorporating the loveliest of feathers, flowers, trim and sparkling salvaged elements. Pieces are largely inspired by vintage designs, yet incorporate a modern, edgy twist on classic pretty. Spring pieces for 2010 are inspired by the creamy coral and citrus hued adorned chiffon and feathery gowns from Valentino. New wedding designs will be featured, some inspired by the 1950’s era featuring nettings in robin’s egg blues and pastels, including a few one-of-a-kind pieces!

Need some new art for your home or workplace? Nothing can spruce up a space like a fresh art piece. We’ve got two art openings this month to entice you. Misha Ashton’s modern colorful photos on wood blocks are moving to Capitol Hill for the Artwalk Thursday March 11th 5-8pm. Her prices are ready to hang and priced between $25- 60 dollars, can’t beat that!

For Ballard Artwalk March 13th 6-9pm we feature "Victorian Circus" by Amanda KindreganNew acrylic paintings and block prints featuring ponies, tigers, acrobats, and other performers in the setting of a nineteenth-century circus. In recent years Amanda has been heavily influenced by 1950's and 60's illustration, especially children's book illustrations. The mediums are linocut and vinyl block printing, gouache and acrylic paints.
